Pete Eckhart: lead guitar

Musical Influences:
My guitar playing was influenced the most by Jerry Cantrell. Other guitar players I dig are Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Slash, Joe Bonamassa, and SRV.

Goals as a Musician:
Short term - maintain the ability to play Smoke On The Water upon complete consumption of a full case of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Current obstacle - I can't drink much more than 7 beers these days. I need to start training again.
Long term - teach my two boys to play guitar or at least get them exposed and interested in music and learning an instrument. Current obstacle - The little one doesn't even walk yet and the older one can't stop running long enough to be bothered with learning a G chord. They both seem to love music though so that is a good start.

Day Job:
Telecom geek.

Favorites:
Food - Steak and some sort of large portion of carbohydrate on the side.
Beverages - Yuengling Porter, Vodka 7, Water, Starbucks Coffee (can't live without it)
Movie - The Lost Boys
TV Show - Lost
And most importantly my awesome wife and two boys and the rest of my family who have always supported everything I do including my musical adventures.

Marshall amps and Gibson USA electric guitars. Digitech GSP1101 guitar processor.

Hobbies and Interests:
Guitar (obviously), watching movies, hanging with family, going for walks with my wife, kids and dog, eating ice cream, biking, hunting, buying and selling musical gear at an alarming rate.

Intersting fact about myself:
One time at band camp....ah never mind. I did go to band camp though. The National Guitar Workshop. I recommend it to any guitar or bass players and drummers. Full week vacation of nothing but playing guitar!
